Connected Digital Front Doors Take Centre Stage at the VerseOne Summer Conference

The VerseOne Summer Conference brought together Healthcare and Social Housing leaders from across the UK, alongside industry experts and technology specialists, to share ideas, experiences and practical approaches to improving digital experiences for staff and service users.

Held at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London, the event generated strong engagement throughout the day, with 94.5% of attendees subsequently rating the conference as either Very Good or Excellent. More than 60 delegates attended the event, representing organisations from across both sectors.

Bringing together professionals from across the NHS and Social Housing sectors, the conference provided an opportunity to step away from day-to-day pressures and discuss some of the biggest challenges facing organisations today, including accessibility, staff experience, AI, automation and integration.

The day opened with Hatham Al-Tarafi, Chief Revenue Officer at VerseOne, who explored how integration, automation and personalisation can help organisations create more connected experiences for both staff and service users.

Rakhi Sachdeva, AI Workforce Lead for Central Government at Microsoft, shared insights into how artificial intelligence is already helping public sector organisations reduce manual effort, improve access to information and support workforce productivity.

Mick Capern from Westward Housing challenged attendees to think differently about the digital workplace through his session, One Page. One Platform., presenting a vision where staff can access everything they need through a single, personalised environment rather than navigating multiple disconnected systems.

The theme of simplifying complexity continued throughout the day, including Chris Mounsey's introduction to DXPv6 and a lively panel discussion featuring representatives from Westward Housing, Link Group, Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust and Homerton Healthcare NHS Trust. The conversation explored how organisations are improving communication, engagement and productivity through better digital experiences for staff.

two-attendees-interviewedAccessibility emerged as one of the strongest themes of the conference. Sessions delivered by Gabrielle Landemoo from East of England Community Health and Care Services NHS Trust and Tom Battcock from VerseOne generated significant discussion around creating digital services that work for everyone, regardless of device, role or accessibility requirements.

Accessibility was ultimately voted the most valuable topic of the day by attendees.

The conference concluded with Daniel Lyons from South Essex Homes, who shared how building a clear business case for digital experience can help organisations secure investment, demonstrate value and drive meaningful organisational change.

Perhaps the strongest message to emerge from the event was that organisations are not necessarily looking for more technology. They are looking for technology that works together. Whether discussions centred on accessibility, intranets, portals, AI or customer experience, the common theme was the desire to create a connected environment that reduces complexity and makes life easier for staff and service users alike.

A huge thank you goes to all of our speakers, panellists, attendees and partners who helped make the event such a success. Their openness, insight and willingness to share experiences created an atmosphere that was both informative and collaborative, helping to drive meaningful conversations about the future of digital transformation across healthcare and Social Housing.
