What, if any effect is working from home having of your organisation and your staff's well-being?
Chartered Institute of Housing found...
- 34% of HA staff absences were mental health related.
- Interestingly 34% of employees also felt they are not offered enough support from their employers (Co-incidence?)
- 67% of those working from home reported feeling isolated and less connected to their colleagues.
One thing that is compounding the impact on staff, is that 1 in 3 of social housing tenants are facing a mental health challenge.
Based on research by CIH in 2020, they found that housing professionals on the front line, and those leading organisations are reporting a host of negative emotions, including anger, exhaustion, isolation, worry and anxiety. This amplified by the needs, well-being, and mental health of their tenants.
