University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust have launched their new website in collaboration with VerseOne.
For the newly-merged Trust, presenting a united identity to the community, invigorated with the values and commitment of the organisation, was a key driver in putting together a new web presence. Surveys of staff and service users showed that the website should be web-accessible, mobile responsive, and designed to put the needs of stakeholders first in its user journeys and design.
Following on-site workshops, VerseOne worked with the Trust to agree a modern and clear design concept with strong signposts for key information and maximum usability. Over a period of 3 months, the Trust worked on creating navigation, user journeys, and content in VerseOne CMS while the team at VerseOne implemented the design collaboratively in agile sprints.
The end result is a new website which showcases the 5 hospitals and communities which the Trust serves in a single, unifying user experience. Patient leaflets are prominently signposted as well as how to get to the hospitals and what to expect once there. Research is also given pride of place on the website of this Foundation Trust.
Andrew Ashcroft, Associate Director of Communications at UHDB, said:
At UHDB we were incredibly pleased with how the project progressed. VerseOne were able to work at pace when we as the client made significant progress and were supportive when we were overcoming challenges internally. The new website meets all the needs of the Trust and early feedback from users, both patients and staff, have been very positive, especially how the site works on mobiles and tablets. We would recommend other NHS trusts using VerseOne in the future.
Congratulations are due to the UHDB Communications team for making such a great website and running a fantastic project, keeping the momentum high and going live right on time!
