How to set up your Google Maps API Key

To start: Go to: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Step 3: Sign in OR register for a Google account. If you use Google Analytics, you will already have a Google account which you can use to sign in here.

Step 5: Create a billing account. While you do need to put in billing details, you get $300 for free up front + then $200 dollars’ credit for usage per month.

Step 7: Go to the menu in the top left and select APIs & Services, then Library.

Then from the menu, select Maps and Maps JavaScript API (if you also use the Get Directions functionality, you will also need to enable Directions API).

Step 10: Click Credentials from the menu in the center and choose Create Credentials.

Step 11: Choose API key. This will be the key you need to provide to us so we can link the CMS with your newly created Google Maps set-up.

This will set up everything you need to get going. From the ‘Quotas’ tab you will be able to see all the traffic through the maps to keep track of your usage stats.
