In line with the trust’s main objectives of improved support for their staff across the board, they set the goal of selecting and implementing a designed for purpose, fully functional, and intuitive intranet solution. The intranet needed to have specific functionality designed for the NHS from an established and reputable digital solutions provider dedicated to the NHS.
Launched in December 2019 following the successful go live of their website built on the same unified CMS platform from VerseOne, the new solution enables the trust to provide employees with the most effective tools to share information, manage knowledge and distribute news – while providing access to applications and tools to increase employee efficiency. This gives the Trust the ability to author and publish content to both the Trust website and intranet sites through a single CMS login area. To streamline the process of the employees being able to have seamless access to the intranet, it was integrated with the Trust’s Active Directory via ADFS for single sign-on.
The project went extremely smoothly from both sides and initial feedback on the launch of the new intranet has been very positive. Great collaboration, communication and best in breed solutions have all contributed towards making this project a great success. Moving forward VerseOne looks forward to working with Royal Surrey on the next stages of their digital transformation journey.
